Welcome to BRIC-CDFD Summer Trainees – 2026

On behalf of BRIC-CDFD, I extend a hearty welcome to all the Summer Trainees of the year - 2026. I wish your training at BRIC-CDFD may introduce you to new horizons of Science and Technology and by the time you go back to your respective Organizations, may you have enhanced knowledge and experience from this state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence-BRIC-CDFD. We, at BRIC-CDFD wish to make your stay both comfortable and successful. It is with this concern that I request you all to note and comply with guidelines listed below:

1. The name of the Guide assigned to you has already been mentioned in the letter from Indian Academy of Sciences [IASc] and is now being displayed on our website. However, for logistics reasons, please contact your Guide only to finalize your period of training in BRIC-CDFD. For all other queries contact us at academia@cdfd.org.in / dean@cdfd.org.in and not directly with the Guide.
2. Your training will not exceed 56 days - including Sundays and General Holidays from the date of your joining. Towards the end of the training you should complete all the formalities, such as handing over of project report to the Guide and completion of No-Demand Certificate, etc. at the least three days before your relief. Relieving Certificate will be issued only on receipt of the completed No-Demand Certificate.
3. Please send us your tour programme well in advance by e-mail to academia@cdfd.org.in / dean@cdfd.org.in to enable us to make necessary arrangement for your accommodation in the BRIC-CDFD hostel.
4. When you arrive in Hyderabad on working days, please report between 9.30 am to 6.00 pm, directly to the BRIC-CDFD Academics Section (Landmark: Opp. to Metro Super Market & adjacent to Nagole Metro Railway Station), from where you will be advised to go to the allotted hostel. The distance from Nampally / Secunderabad Railway Station to Uppal is around 12 - 14 kms. An Auto rickshaw may charge you approximately Rs.250/- from Nampally / Secunderabad Railway Station.
5. On Saturdays / holidays / during non-working hours, you may directly go to the BRIC-CDFD Hostel.
6. At the time of your joining you will be provided with detailed instructions to be followed by you during your stay at BRIC-CDFD.
