How to join Dr. Akash Ranjan's Group?
Each year, we receive hundreds of applications for joining our group as Project Associate/ Trainee position, which is impossible to meet. We prefer people who can join our group with their own fellowship and research grant awards. This may require atleast one year of advance planning.
For Project Associate positions, interested candidate may apply as
DBT post doctoral fellow (twice a year)
DST Young Scientist (once a year)
For all these postions, applicants are required to make prior contacts with Dr. Akash Ranjan.
At Project and Summer Trainee level students are required to apply for INSA/IASc/NASI summer training program.
In addition, candidate should have following desirable skills:
Command over one or more programing languages (JAVA, C/C++, Python or Perl)
Working knowledge of one database system (MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL)
Command over a domain specific knowledge (Chemistry; Cell and Molecular Biology; Engineering)
